A chilling missing persons bulletin that aired on CNN on September 17, 2001, six days after the tragic events of 9/11.

People will never get the full aftermath of the days following 9/11 unless they experienced watching Comedy Central with shows that had crawls telling viewers where to give blood (at least, this was the case for their NYC programming). The missing persons posters were also plastered everywhere you went in the city. It's so easy to think of an event as a single moment in time, after which healing happened immediately, but in the case of 9/11, the open wound grew to nearly every facet of mundane life before it started to close up.

A haunting reminder that beyond the headlines and politics, thousands of personal stories were forever changed that day.

Osama Bin Laden of the Taliban - Islam. People *did* jump from the towers to avoid dying by fire. In the aftermath as a result of the search for survivors and remains, firefighters and first responders of every kind developed life ravaging respiratory illnesses.
