A combination of prolonged miserable wet weather, and Tree Sparrows seemingly declining again this winter, has really got me down recently. I will not give up on trying to save Tree Sparrows. Maybe not spectacular enough to get on TV programmes, but I LOVE their chattering.

Good work Matt, you should feel very proud of the contribution you make. Fingers crossed for a decent breeding season.

Having a garden full of house sparrows I honestly didn’t know tree sparrows were a separate species. I will now pay more attention!
