Axon is doing what it considers its best financial interest. The problem is the government—they are encouraging this entrepreneurial activity—if they made it public that this was not acceptable, and unconstitutional and they would never pay for it, then the money for entrepreneurial risk dries up and motivation whithers on the vine.

This is getting ridiculous because they are basically finding more ways to surveil us in more locations. Soon you won’t be able to step out your door without them knowing. I would say keep your curtains closed but they already have the technology to see into your home. Anything giving off body heat can be detected. I’m sure they will probably be implementing this soon as well if they haven’t already.

But we all willingly buy, carry, and charge the "mother of all" devices in our pockets, and agree to be monitored 24/7/365. I think people just enjoy whining.

Flock already has this capability (sort of). Their cameras are self contained (cam, solar panel, battery, cellular uplink). Two stainless steel clamps to attach to existing streetlight, signpost etc and they are up and running.

A few years ago the power companies nationwide committed to installing 600,000 new street lights with wifi repeaters. They gather smart meter data to read meters and flood us with more 5g garbage. They wanted to give me a smart thermostat and a smart block heater controller for my truck. It is all for rationing. I opted out of all of it including the smart meter. Now they want cameras on those poles watching us 24/7 at our homes? No thanks
