You're my favorite author and I don't disagree with what you've said in the first half but the problem is that we've become addicted to technology as a shorthand, we've sacrificed innate teaching and learned knowledge for rapidly accessible facts. People depend on the internet.

You're missing that people are worried that we are going to lose all this great stuff, not that they are just cynical haters of society.
