38 years old Bezawada Rajeev and 26 year old Duran Pavani residing in Kancherla Towers on Miryalaguda Road in Nalgonda, Telangana failed in a couple of businesses. So! The learnt on YouTube how to print fake notes. They bought the printer, special paper and started printing Rs 500 notes. Last week Rajeev tried to buy milk using the counterfeit Rs 500 note from the local vendor. The vendor realised the note was fake and immediately alerted the police. The couple was arrested Police seized 15 fake Rs 500 notes, a printer and paper used to print counterfeit currency. They apparently targeted shops where elderly people handled cash transactions and exchanged the fake notes there.

This man bought a lottery ticket on his way out of the grocery store, as he scratched it off he couldn’t believe his luck he just won $300. The ticket was a $30 ticket and he made all of his money back. He walked over to customer service who took the ticket and claimed he scanned it and put a post it on the ticket and put it in the drawer. He then tries to hand the man $5 as the prize and claims that’s what the ticket says he won. The man know you can’t win $5 on a $30 high prize ticket. He asks the man to scan it again and he refuses and claims $5 is what it shows. The man escalates it further and asks for a manager. The customer service rep finally scans it again and it showed $300 and the man finally gets his money he won. Do you really believe the ticket scanned as a $5 winner or was the customer service rep trying to finesse him out of his money?

The issue came to light when the suspect recently attempted the same act, but the vendor was present and detected that no payment had been received. The suspect was later traced to a hostel around Okponglo, where it was confirmed he is a University of Ghana student. Hostel management also revealed he had allegedly used similar tactics on other vendors. Efforts were made to resolve the matter, with compensation proposed to cover the losses.
