Yes, a big yellow school bus stopped should have been a clue.

Obeying the law would have helped. You are not allowed to pass a school bus which is picking up or dropping off kids, even in a cycle lane.

Isn’t the law in the USA that you can’t pass a school bus when the hazards are on?

It shouldn't be too difficult, stopped school bus, doors open, impaired view = slow the fuck down.

NO braking. When I rode a bike my hands were always hovvering on or near the brake handles - cyclists now do not seem to do that. WHY?

Please explain the law in America regarding school busses with their warning lights on.

Please explain would hazard perception of helped here ??

It's America.....all vehicles are meant to wait behind the bus when it's stopped with its lights flashing.....that's the rule I think so yes.....cyclists a dick.

There's always tossers in the replies bending over backwards & doing mental gymnastics to justify any bloke on two wheels no matter how obvious their wrong doing is.

again?!
