David, what he is saying is what every economist has said for the past 6 months. Tariffs will be bad for Americans. Why does Smith need to insert herself into this? What does Alberta have to do with MAGA dummies learning what everyone already knew? Educate me.

How do you persuade Trump to back down from tariffs? Not by talking to a bunch of Canadians who already agree with you. You have to persuade Trump’s base. You do that by engaging them and leading Republican influencers. Make sense?

Shapiro's been against tariffs since well before talking to Smith. Objectively, it looks like Trump changed his tune on tariffs after meeting Carney, not on the advice of Shapiro
