This mechanic says that if it wasn’t for American made cars, he doesn’t know if they would be in business. He points out that all the cars currently in the bays are American made. He says they work on all makes and models but it’s the American made cars the make up the majority of their business. He says that the only foreign cars in the parking lot belong to himself and other people who work there. He says if you want a car that lasts, buy a Toyota. I had a Honda Civic once and got over 500K miles on it. Had a Nissan and got well over 300K miles on it. I have owned Ford, Chevy and GM cars. I’ll be honest, they didn’t last like the foreign cars. I do think American trucks are better than foreign trucks but why can’t we make good cars that last ? What do you think? Do you think he’s right? Are you a die hard Ford Chevy or GM person? Do you own a foreign car or an American made car?

This husband had just come back from picking up photos for his wife. He parks (kind of) and gets out and then sees his car take off. He didn’t put it in park. Not going to be a good day. The car rolls down, takes out the support beam to his pool patio and continues down into the woods by their house. Poor guy, as he looks on in disbelief, he throws the photos in the garbage can and not his trash. The wife comes out and she is in disbelief too. Could have been worse, it could have went into the pool. 💯 In his defense, it’s a push button and it doesn’t have to be in park to be turned off. He used to drive another vehicle that would automatically put the vehicle in park when the car was turned off by the push button. This one doesn’t do that unfortunately. 😬 How does the insurance handle this? Do you think the manufacturer of these cars bears some of the blame of all these kinds of accidents we see of these cars rolling down without being put in park or is it solely on the human being owner?

Peter Bogdanovich on how a Comedy scene should be structured: "Interviewer: When you are doing comedy and pacing a joke, do you work at a series of payoffs—at a topper? Bogdanovich: You’ve usually got to have three jokes and then a fourth on the same subject that’s funnier than the other three. If you don’t give the audience the topper, they slightly resent you. I think the best one I did was in 'What’s Up, Doc?' (1972) Obviously, the pane of glass scene is a great joke; Buck Henry wrote that, based on an idea of Benton and Newman’s. That was like ten jokes building to the guy going through the glass. The glass had to break. If it hadn’t broken I would have been shot, and the people would have stormed out of the theater in fury. But one day, while we were going through San Francisco looking for locations—we were about twenty in a bus driving around—I had an idea. I said, “Wouldn’t it be funny if we had a Volkswagen bus, and the first car hits it and smashes it up, and then the second car hits it and smashes it some more, and then a third car hits it, and then finally the guy who owns it runs out, and the whole thing falls over?” Everybody laughed, so I said, “Let’s do that.” It’s just a very satisfying joke because the audience laughs every time the cars hit, and then on the last one, when the thing falls over, they’re thrilled that we went all the way with it. This supermarket manager was walking back inside the store when he noticed that a customers car was on fire. He immediately ran inside and grabbed a fire extinguisher. He proceeded to smash the window of the car to put out the fire. Just as he was doing this, the owner came out and was freaking out to see that, only to remember that she had a lit scented candle in the car to help with unwanted smells. Was he justified to break her window to do this, shouldn’t he have just waited for the fire department, because now is it possible he’s liable for her damages that he caused?

This car owner put a vehicle up for sale and some people from out of town showed up to check it out. They tried to convince the owner that the engine had a cracked head because they found an orange reside on the dipstick. The owner knew that wasn't the case and declined the lower offer they made. After the people left, he rewatched the cameras and noticed their sketchy behavior. How would you have reacted? If you were unsure, would you have accepted the lower offer or stand firm in your price because you knew the car checked out?

Imagine living across the street from someone for 30 years and they don’t even know your full name, and the reason that don’t know not only your name but the wife only knows the name of the one Neighbor she talks to on either side of her home, and the reason for that is people that go through life this way think the whole universe revolves around them, we’ve all known people like this. If you look up and down the street of this neighborhood everyone parks in their driveway except for these people, they have their raggedy boat stuffed in their driveway. The whole street is empty, he could have parked that car anywhere even on his side of the street where he should have parked it to begin with. What do you think is at work here ? I believe they think their Neighbor is a soft touch and I totally believe the man when he says he does it because it bothers him. How do you resolve a situation like this ? Some people will disrespect you until you make the necessary adjustments. I’m glad Josh isn’t my neighbor… or maybe it’s the other way around😡

This man became irate at the Delta Airlines crew of this flight in Atlanta. This happened in April and the flight was already delayed 3-4 hours and when they boarded the plane they were delayed even more sitting on the plane for almost an hour. The man demanded that they pull into a gate and let him off. At one point, he opens the door. 🤯 The captain of the plane comes on over the loudspeaker and tells him that they will indeed pull into a gate and let him off but he wants him to sit down. Surprisingly, many people sided with the man saying they understood his frustration and it was ridiculous to be delayed for 3-4 hours and then have to wait on the tarmac for almost another hour. Some pointed out that there is a law that now says they cannot keep you on board for so many hours, but that law states no longer than three hours. Other people said he should have waited and been patient like the other passengers and that it is out of the crew’s control. They went back to the gate and the man was taken into custody by police. Red Cross, FEMA, TEMA have come in and confiscated all of the donations that were given to the local high schools” “They're taking control of additional volunteer schools. And if anyone, now, if anyone wants access to the donations that they were given for help, they have to go through an approval process. All monetary donations taken and moved into a TEMA account, which means that they won't even be used fully for the Helene disaster. ‌ It's like they're turning local relief efforts into a mess of bureaucracy. When did it get this bad? Because FEMA is supposed to come in. Red Cross is supposed to come in and hand you water and give you donations and help and be there for you, but instead they're confiscating it and arresting people who are actually trying to help.
