here's my hyperdev-1 setup, an elite American software developer agent (proudly running in Texas!): - rented a H100 - installed Claude Code - used it to install Qwen3-Coder-480B - and created an agent in Claude which uses this local 480B model .. connected to Github, Vercel, few MCPs.. all of this together generated and deployed the below websites - which showcases quality comparison between Qwen3-Coder-7B and the 480B, all run locally; and also the detailed installation instructions for the 480B (which was a pain to install and took many iterations) "You are an elite software developer with decades of experience across multiple programming languages, frameworks, and architectural patterns. A voice agent powered by gpt-oss. Running locally on my macBook. Demo recorded in a Waymo with WiFi turned off. I'm still on my space game voice AI kick, obviously. Code link below. For conversational voice AI, you want to set the gpt-oss reasoning behavior to "low". (The default is "medium".) Notes on how to do that and a jinja template you can use are in the repo. The LLM in the demo video is the big, 120B version of gpt-oss. You can use the smaller, 20B model for this, of course. But OpenAI really did a cool thing here designing the 120B model to run in "just" 80GB of VRAM. And the llama.cpp mlx inference is fast: ~250ms TTFT. Running a big model on-device feels like a time warp into the future of AI.

Hyperspace: The Agentic OS Apple Should Have Built On December 19th, 2024, we announced the world’s first Agentic Browser. What followed was a movement — a new category was born which led to many early products in this space and recently the hundreds of people lining up outside the The Agentic Browser Summit in San Francisco underscored that. Silicon Valley instinctively gets it, from students to tech executives, people can feel a revolutionary new change in computing is in the air. Past year taught us why such a product was inevitable, a hard engineering effort, and also the last mover in the entire software world this decade if and when done right. All paths are headed in the same direction: one tool which orchestrates them all. At Hyperspace we showed that path with essays and products we launched in earlier months: from a spatial UI of orchestrating agents, to showcasing transparent activity in how the AI system operates which leads to user trust, to presenting the software end-game, which massively improves human productivity. We also built the world’s largest AI network, drawing participation from people in almost 6000 cities around the world contributing their machines as nodes in the network. Think Uber, but for AI. 🔥In Magma, we talked a lot about spatial/temporal intelligence beyond verbal intelligencen as advocated by Dr. Fei-Fei Li. So how to interpret it? Today I am happy to announce a new demo Magma-Gaming: 👉 Rather than asking LLMs to write game code, we further ask the model to PLAY the game. A simple game like moving to the target in a 2D grid still requires precise action grounding and planning capability, yet challenges the most advanced VLMs and even GPT-4o-mini model. Magma, born with stronger spatial understanding and reasoning ability, significantly outperforms the counterparts and achieves much higher scores in zero-shot manner. This result pinpoints the huge potential of building multimodal agentic models endowed with both verbal and spatial inteligence! Also, I believe this simple demo gives you a better hints to understand what is spatial intelligence, and why it is important!

Apple and Meta are still missing the point when it comes to spatial productivity. Going monitor-free or showing the weather in 3d space isn't enough. There's not enough value in replacing a frictionless setup like a laptop and mouse unless the spatial environment unlocks something radically more powerful: a creative work space so fluid and enabling that you wouldn't want to work any other way. I created this "Spatial AI Workbench" mockup a while ago to explore that exact idea.

Excited to share our latest work on 🎧spatial audio-driven human motion generation. We aim to tackle a largely underexplored yet important problem of enabling virtual humans to move naturally in response to spatial audio—capturing not just what is heard, but also where the sound is coming from. To this end, we introduce the Spatial Audio-Driven Human Motion (SAM) dataset—the first comprehensive dataset featuring paired high-quality human motion and spatial audio recordings. For benchmarking, we develop a generative framework for human MOtion generation driven by SPAtial audio, termed MOSPA, which learns to synthesize realistic and diverse human motions conditioned on spatial audio input. We hope this research could provide a foundation for future research in spatial perception, virtual characters, and embodied AI. The dataset and model will be open-sourced soon. For benchmarking, we develop a generative framework for human MOtion generation driven by SPAtial audio, termed MOSPA, which learns to synthesize realistic and diverse human motions conditioned on spatial audio input. We hope this research could provide a foundation for future research in spatial perception, virtual characters, and embodied AI. The dataset and model will be open-sourced soon. AI agents are becoming increasingly capable of taking actions beyond the chat window and interacting with tools in the real world, such as web browsers. We explored this capability by having an AI agent present one of our interactive web-based demos. In this video, it's presenting our election interference demo. This agent is a Cursor coding agent and is equipped with tools to read and interact with the browser (using Playwright) and perform text-to-speech (with ElevenLabs), in addition to the standard Cursor tools.

Yesterday, I was invited to speak at the 17th edition of the 60 Million Congress in Miami. Together with other experts in the space, we talked about AI and its effects on human psychology and society. A couple of takeaways: ▫️ Using AI can remove the need for critical thinking, just like GPS removed the need for spatial recognition. ▫️ Soon, AI chatbots will become our friends and partners and could potentially gain equal rights as humans. ▫️ AI is the most disruptive technology ever, and it will influence society more than anything we ever introduced. Had some interesting conversations afterward with companies interested in working with Vertical AI to fine-tune their own domain specific model 🤝 Shout-out to THE ₿IRB NEST for getting us on the panel. On to the next stage to spread the word of Vertical AI.

It was an honour to speak at the Ai updates 2023 in the UK earlier today alongside other ministers of ICT. The summit is a gathering of global stakeholders including governments, leading AI companies, experts in research and civil society groups. As a nation of innovators and entrepreneurs, Nigeria must recognise the significance of Artificial Intelligence and the urgent need to explore and use it for the good of humanity. I would also like to thank the UK Government for inviting us to be part of the UK AI for Development Programme which will support our efforts to improve AI research and inclusive datasets. This partnership is a recognition of our commitment to the growth of AI in Nigeria as outlined in our Strategic Blueprint and evidenced by our initial launch of the National AI Research Scheme. #NigerianExcellence
