A different Amsterdam, one day after …. Everyday I stumble into something that brings tears into my eyes. Today was this. Something in the way they sing, in the way they stand straight and proud, layering another pain deep down, in their Jewish hearts. 🙏 Serendipity…

It looks like this video it is indeed from Amsterdam, but from one month ago, when the Jewish and many other good people have gathered to comemorate Oct7. My good friend who sent me this reacted more emotional than accurate, exactly like me or many others. Normally, I should apologize for not checking the source, like I always do. But in this particular case, after all the disgusting violence we’ve all seen against the Jewish people, this community deserves to be respected, seen singing, standing proud, united and protected. In this particular case, I prefer seing the Jews in a better mood and shape than the day before, in Amsterdam…

And a completely different emotion. The anger from yesterday is getting a hug from these good people…

Wow! Thank you for posting this. I really needed to see it. We saw the worst in humanity yesterday. Today, we see good people standing up.

This was october 7th, the commemoration on De Dam. At the moment, demonstrations in Amsterdam are forbidden, otherwise we would have been there again.❤️ But you are right that THIS is the feeling of many Dutch people. The thugs of this week were (sons of) islamitic immigrants.

This is footage of the October 7th memorial, not the day after.

But based on what I have read, the authorities should have been monitoring the Telegram channels and known what was being discussed. I'm happy to see this turnout but the assaults should never have happened

True. But let’s just enjoy 30 seconds of peace. Then we go back to fight…

When Jews and their allies come together, they weave psalms of peace like golden threads into the fabric of the world, radiating calm, bound by love and the hope of comfort. Their song carries a resilient melody, a harmony that stands firm against the chaos and cruelty, refusing to be silenced by the fevered shouts of those who rally for destruction in the name of vengeance. Why, then, would anyone forsake this light for shadows, abandon the path of peace for the empty promises of hate?
