#WATCH | Assam: The first commercial run of India's first Vande Bharat Sleeper train between Kamakhya (KYQ) and Howrah (HWH) started its journey from Kamakhya railway junction earlier this evening. The train started its maiden commercial journey on January 22 from Kamakhya & is scheduled to start its journey with effect from January 23 from Howrah. The Kamakhya – Howrah Vande Bharat Sleeper is expected to significantly enhance connectivity between the Northeast and Eastern India, offering modern amenities, improved travel time and a world – class overnight travel experience.

Maa Kamakhya Devi 🙏🚩 Maa's face is seen only once in 15 years. Rest of the time, Her face is always covered with flowers. Watch it to see Maa's eyes, which are tat-rupam like that of any human being. At Kamakhya Temple, devotion takes a very ancient, symbolic form rather than a physical idol with a face. Here, Maa Kamakhya is not worshipped through a visible visage. Instead, the sanctum enshrines the sacred yoni-shaped stone, representing the creative power of the Divine Mother. The shrine is traditionally adorned with flowers, cloth, and offerings, not to hide a face, but to honor a form that is beyond ordinary human depiction. Once a year during the Ambubachi Mela, the temple observes a unique sacred period celebrating the Goddess’s cycle of fertility and renewal. It is one of the most powerful expressions of Shakti worship in India, where nature, divinity, and life itself are seen as one continuous flow. So rather than a face revealed after many years, what devotees seek here is something deeper—the presence of the Mother in her most primal, life-giving energy. Today, I had the good fortune of offering prayers at Maa Jayanti Mandir in Meghalaya. One of the 51 sacred Shakti Peeths, nestled amidst the Jaintia Hills, this temple stands as a powerful reminder of the deep and enduring roots of Sanatan Dharma in the North East. It is believed that the Jaintias were among the earliest sadhaks of Maa Kamakhya. The enduring civilizational bond between these two revered Shakti Peeths reflects a shared spiritual legacy that continues to connect Assam and Meghalaya.

#Cabinet approves the construction of 117.7 km Kanpur–Kabrai Access-Controlled Greenfield Highway, a four-lane access-controlled corridor with structures designed for future six-laning, forming a key segment of the Bhopal–Kanpur Economic Corridor under the National Highways (O) Programme. With an estimated total capital cost of Rs. 7145.14 crore, the project will be implemented by the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) on BOT (Toll) mode, together with the operation and maintenance of the existing Kanpur-Kabrai section of NH-34. The project will provide seamless, high-speed connectivity between Kanpur and Kabrai, while strengthening onward connectivity to Sagar, Bhopal and other parts of Madhya Pradesh, thereby creating a modern access controlled economic corridor linking the industrial and commercial centres of Uttar Pradesh with mineral-rich, manufacturing and agricultural regions of Madhya Pradesh thereby improving. #CabinetDecisions
