He’s energetic, aggressive and can improve Manchester United’s midfield. But if you’re talking about replacing Casemiro, I don’t think he’s the closest profile. Casemiro was a defensive monster at his best. He protected the back four, won duels and controlled danger before it happened. For me, players like Aurélien Tchouaméni and Carlos Baleba are much closer to that role. They naturally think defensively, dominate midfield battles and give the defence protection. Ederson is a very good midfielder, but I see him as a different type of player. If United want the next Casemiro, I’d be looking at Tchouaméni or Baleba before anyone else.” {Sky Sports News }
