Security Bulletin: WebKit's handling of passkeys can cause iCloud Private Relay to leak your device's real IP address. The same behaviour affects all iOS browsers that rely on proxy connections to hide the device's IP, including Psylo, Onion Browser, and other proxy or Tor browsers on iOS. The IP address is exposed as soon as you open a website that supports passkeys, even if you never try to sign in with one. For example, simply opening facebook[.]com in Safari is enough to expose your real IP address to Facebook. We also found two more WebKit issues: • DNS prefetching bypasses the proxy tunnel and leaks DNS queries. • WebTransport ignores the established proxy connection and exposes the device's real IP address. These behaviours affect Safari and all proxy browsers on iOS, since Apple requires all iOS browsers to use WebKit. Note that VPNs are not affected by these issues, since they tunnel the device's entire network traffic at the system level. We've updated Psylo to disable passkeys and WebTransport by default in all silos, and you can re-enable them per silo. We also disabled DNS prefetching entirely. Please update to version 1.3.1. ✨ Today I rebuilt 🏔️ AltaVista Search, the main search engine before Google existed The problem: if you press the 🔍Search button in MSIE4 it'll open a sidebar with AltaVista in it that opens: http:// home . microsoft . com/search/search.asp But that URL doesn't resolve anymore of course, so how do I make this work? I asked Claude Code and built a Dnsmasq DNS server that routes all regular DNS queries to Cloudflare but for home . microsoft . com it hijacks it and sends it to my own server Then I let Nginx respond to that doamin and show the Altavista Search sidebar, I had to rebuild the design from a video on YouTube because I couldn't find any actual archeological remains of it anymore Also Altavista Search of course doesn't exist anymore so it can't respond to queries either so I use a SERP API to query search results from Google and display them instead This is stuff I wouldn't even be close to doing before AI, I'd have no idea how to configure Dnsmasq to spoof queries like this The search engine results are proxied via my HTTP proxy so MSIE4 can open most sites (because old browsers don't support HTTPS and most JS!)

Most investigators stop their research when they see a Cloudflare IP That’s a mistake! Cloudflare hides the origin server’s real IP address but it doesn’t always make it impossible to find. With the right techniques, you can often uncover the actual hosting infrastructure behind a protected website. Here are 3 methods I regularly use: 🧠 Criminal IP Search Engine: One of the fastest ways to investigate infrastructure behind a domain. 🔎 Reverse Favicon Search: Some websites reuse the same favicon across multiple services or subdomains. Searching by favicon hash can reveal infrastructure that isn’t behind Cloudflare. 📜 WHOIS History: Older WHOIS records sometimes expose previous hosting providers or IP addresses used before Cloudflare protection was enabled. Using Criminal IP, you can pivot from a domain and uncover: ✅Possible origin server IPs ✅Passive DNS history ✅ Abuse records ✅Malware associations ✅Scanner activity ✅Related infrastructure Example: I searched a Cloudflare-protected domain inside Criminal IP and it immediately revealed the underlying server IP where the website was actually hosted. Most people never go this far but this step often unlocks the biggest findings in a website investigation. Try out the search engine:

I'm concerned we're entering a local maxima with CLIs, they're the wrong interface for agents The right interface is regular REST APIs with CIMD (same spec that MCP uses to allow for dynamic client registration) Your agent then writes code to interact with the API (like Cloudflare codemode) Think about how this works for humans today for the following action: "I want to set a DNS record on my domain" -> You Google "Vercel set DNS records" -> Docs page tells you what buttons to press -> You press buttons on a website, those call an API Now for agents, they search Google: -> "Set DNS record on Vercel Domain" -> they land on the same docs page, except it outlines what api endpoints are used as well -> the agent then calls those api endpoints for you, credentials are dynamically inserted where the agent can run them -> (optional) set auto approval policies / require approval of all non GET options by default You don't need separate interfaces for agents, nor do you really need separate skills for them CLIs have terrible discoverability, no input / output typing, they're harder to make profiles for for allowed / disallowed tools They work as a stop gap solution, but companies should be focusing on making good docs and APIs, not CLIs I've been prototyping this over at (open source if you want to play with what this world would look like - still early on it so appreciate feedback - open source and can run completely on your machine

💾 Vibe coded an entire dial-up TCP/IP stack for my TUI OS to get to the internet so it can now too browse the web It uses the same ISP as does which is (a real dial up provider) and then the browser routes you to my HTTP-proxy (because it doesn't support HTTPS yet) so you can open modern websites with it WebSocket → HDLC framing → PPP → LCP/EAP/IPCP → IPv4 → UDP → DNS (one round trip) → IPv4 → TCP (3-way handshake) → HTTP/1.0 → HTTP reverse proxy → HTML parse → render in OS browser -> render in your browser Also we have some techno in the music player now (not good yet) VERY GEEKY 🤓

Today the FBI and U.S. Department of Justice announced Operation Masquerade, a court-authorized technical disruption of Russian GRU infrastructure used to steal government, military, and critical infrastructure information. Since at least 2024, a cyber unit within Russian military intelligence – tracked as APT28, Fancy Bear, and Forest Blizzard – has conducted a DNS hijacking campaign worldwide. The GRU compromised routers used in homes and businesses to steal emails, passwords, and authentication tokens of high-value intelligence targets. Given the scale of the threat, we needed to act. The FBI operation cut off GRU access to compromised routers in the US and prevented re-exploitation. The #FBI will continue to work with international and private sector partners to identify GRU cyber activity and impose costs on state-sponsored actors who target the American people.
