Neurosurgeon Burnt Alive After His Car Crashes into Divider in Suryapet A horrific road accident occurred on National Highway 365, connecting Suryapet and Khammam. Near Pillalamarri, a Volvo car reportedly lost control, hit the road divider at high speed and suddenly caught fire. Police said the driver was trapped inside the burning car and died after suffering severe burn injuries. The deceased was identified as Dr. Kasakurthi Jagadeesh, a neurosurgeon working at Mamata Hospital in Khammam. According to police, the car was travelling from Khammam to Hyderabad. Police and fire personnel rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. Police suspect that the accident occurred because the driver may have dozed off while driving. After examining CCTV footage from the Mamillagudem toll gate, police preliminarily concluded that the driver was travelling alone in the car. A case has been registered, and further investigation is underway.
