Fig, a 7-year-old Australian shepherd, ran away after being spooked by 4th of July fireworks, and her family had been frantically searching for her since. The family contacted the Tulare County Sheriff's Office about a week after searching on their own, and within almost 24 hours, deputies located the missing dog. Sergeant Ricky Morley, who was assigned to the case, said, "I've been doing this for about 20 years, and just to have a good story with a happy ending, that's worth it, right there."
