A fantastic interview from van Veen this, it’s not often you get a runner up coming in for an interview for obvious reasons It wasn’t to be this evening but his time will certainly come. An incredible player and a wonderful lad

What a guy hope he wins a load of titles

It’s just the start for Gian, seems like a top fella, his time is coming!

Just like in any other sport, it should be standard practice for losers to also speak to the press. Gian shows us how it's done.

Regardless of anything else, having the spine and character to speak to the media so articulately after that result says a lot about him as a person.

Love the Dutch

That missed double in set 2 really did kill him. If he popped that he could of easily took another 2 sets atleast and made a real game of it. Losing that set 3-2 after missing that dart you could see the confidence drain from him.

Such a nice lad. Been a joy to watch this last 6 months

Some lad. Fair play to him.

1 set up & 2 legs up is when it all changed. If GVV goes 2 sets up he starts to believe and it is likely a closer game, once Little won Set 2 he got his hooks in and just got better and better as he does.

gracious in defeat big respect

Such a headstrong guy. He’ll be back and he’ll win.

As a non-native speaker, I personally find his English easier to follow than some of the regional accents used by UK players. It also seems less common in the UK than in the Netherlands to neutralise one’s accent or dialect on national television.

What an impressive lad

If I'd just earned 400k in the last 3 weeks, I'd have been only too willing to talk as well.😄

Litler in this form is unbeatable, he is the best of the rest and well deserved 2nd place.

Lost my support after he was waving his arms about like a 13 year old teenager after set 4

Great interview fair play to him , I hope he has a great 2026

Not sure why, but I couldn't warm to him before this tournament. That has completely changed. What a grounded decent lad. I hope his time comes.

Great lad.

What a likeable young man

Yes... he deserves all the success he's had,, a breath of fresh air,,instead of the constant lukes in final.

wat een topper, en wat spreekt hij zeer goed Engels, @SecGenNATO zou nog veel van hem kunnen leren 🤣

Nah sorry he was awful. Completely wilted. And it’s not a given his time will come at all. Darts needs big players and quickly or this is another precession era.

He will 100% be a future world champion he’s an amazing player

That's why he lost... Even in 1:4 or 1:5 down, Littler or even Humphrey will never give in... Will never think they can't make it... Lad needs a stronger and better mentality.

They always interview loser’s after world final is it your first one 🙄🙄

👏👏

Such a mature response 👏

What a lovely interview

Top top lad above all else. Really hope he has his day in the sun he is certainly the one you feel has the best chance of closing the gap.

Classy interview.

I'm new to watching darts and as much as I wanted Littler to win, I would have been ok with this lad winning. Great player, nice personality. He has a good future.

Top guy

Well said 👏
