honestly sonic using slang like "happening" just feels right, even if it's not as common as it used to be. i totally understand wanting sonic to feel more hip and with it, but something about the vibe of that particular language feels very sonic to me. probably because 90s lol

Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't "cool" heavily influenced by the times, what's "in" or not, and other things? This would explain how things like SMW's Special Zone had 90s "cool" world for its level names. It was cool then, but it's seen as corny now.
