In a deeply disturbing incident, a person with disability and a graduate from the Takoradi Technical University, Mr. Ebenezer Kwame Egyir was subjected to unfair treatment and discrimination by a security guard at the Cornelia Connelly School of the Holy Child Jesus in Mpeasem, Cape Coast, where he was denied entry into the school’s premises over his physical condition. Recounting his ordeal at the hands of the security guard, Mr. Ebenezer Kwame Egyir who was job hunting narrated how he was prevented from entering the school’s premises on two different occasions, with the accused security guard bluntly telling him there was no job for a person like him. The incident has left the young man, who graduated as the overall best graduating disabled student from the TTU with an HND in Information and Communication Technology, deeply distraught and devastated.
