As part of creating a Swachh Bharat, volunteers from the Isha Yoga Center visited villages around the Center on October 1 to clean up, and also spread awareness among the villagers about the importance of keeping our surroundings clean and hygienic. Swachh Bharat or "Clean India" in English, is an effort by the government, civil society organizations and concerned citizens to ensure the cleanliness and hygiene of the nation, through awareness sessions, voluntary cleaning activities and other initiatives. We also finalised virtual agreements with our Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda for the National Health Mission (NHM) and Ayushman Bharat. Under these, the central government has sanctioned ₹2,103 crores under NHM and ₹972 crores under Ayushman Bharat this year. Furthermore, we physically met with the Prime Minister, who also backed the newly launched 'Swachha App'. We discussed in detail the work that can be executed in the power and urban development sectors in West Bengal with the joint support of the Government of India and the State Government. West Bengal hasn't developed as much as it should have over the years. To completely rebuild this region, the Urban Development Ministry has an incredible opportunity to execute extensive work alongside the power sector. We will ensure that we seize that opportunity…”

So much for the rain preparedness and crores and crores of public money spent on drainage, sewage & easing traffic congestion.
