True generosity is about much more than meeting a physical need—it’s about planting a seed of hope and letting a child know the world is rooting for their future. Beautiful work empowering the next generation.

WOW 🚨 School districts all over America are paying for surveillance on students “School districts are turning to increasingly invasive tactics to police where families live, from license plate reader cameras to private investigators conducting surveillance” School districts are using taxpayer money to pay as much as $9,000+ per student to put the student and their families under surveillance They are doing this because it can cost around $20,000 per student to educate, and if a student is going to not live in the district then they may not get paid for that student So school districts are turning to private surveillance companies to track kids and parents locations If families are found to not be in the right district, they are kicked out of school and even sent a bill for the time they were there The private consulting companies are claiming they can save these school districts hundreds of thousands of dollars by putting kids under surveillance This is insane I tried to get a full list of states that do this and I was able to come up with at least 8. So if your are in one of these states you’re at risk Illinois California Pennsylvania Georgia Ohio Alabama Missouri Some of these states have programs so extensive that nearly a quarter of all school districts use tactics like this

“Gen Zs went to Zoom school during the most important years of social development because of COVID. These kids went to school alone, watched other people on a screen, stayed at home alone, and did their homework alone. They didn’t have socialization for quite a few years of their major developmental years. And now they’re in college, and a lot of colleges offer just Zoom, just online classes, because that’s the modality they’re used to. So you have a Zoom-school generation not hanging out in person that much, not participating in dating and sex that much. What’s going to happen? If 80% of the generation is lonely, how do you tell them, ‘You’ve got to get out there, go to a bar, go to a club’? They have too much social anxiety to go to a bar.” Luvbites by Dr. Tara

Elon Musk: At this point, education is mostly a social experience. You don’t actually need school to learn anymore. With AI, you can learn just as much—or more—on your phone at home. School is becoming less about knowledge and more about being around people your own age. People should go to school today mainly for the social side of it. The learning itself? AI can already do that better. Conventional schooling could be vastly improved, and individualized AI teachers will outperform the one-size-fits-all classroom. Education doesn’t need to happen in a building anymore. You could learn everything at home on your phone. Kids go to school to hang out, build social skills, and experience a coming-of-age—not because it’s the most effective way to learn. School today functions as a social filter, not a learning engine. AI handles the learning better. Humans still go to school for friendships, relationships, leadership, confidence, and real-world social development.

Just a reminder, when you go to a hospital because your sick, it’s the not nurses job to cure or diagnose you, it’s their job to make sure they run as many test as possible so they can make your bill as high as possible. The sicker they make you out to be the more test they can run and the more than can bill you and your insurance company.

So many individuals and families in Oshawa are feeling the strain of the rising cost of living. A recent visit to Simcoe Hall Settlement House was a sobering reminder of how hard it has become to afford groceries, rent, and everyday necessities. More working families are turning to food banks for the first time, while donations are declining at the same time. Hunger does not end with the holidays. This year, supporting local organizations like Simcoe Hall can help ensure fewer Oshawa families, children, and seniors go without. Thank you to the dedicated staff and volunteers at Simcoe Hall, and to Pierre Poilievre for joining me in supporting our community.

“Get out, you’ve got four minutes.” Those were the words Keith and Carol woke to last month as floodwaters rose around their RV in Texas. In minutes, their home was lost. Thanks to your generosity, the Y’all Squad showed up that very week with $30,000 so they could purchase a new RV and begin again. Your support makes it possible for the Y’all Squad to show up when families need it most, and we couldn’t do it without you. Thank you!!
