So if that's near you and you love the music of this era, do yourself a favour, go see it and have a super fun time at the theatre 🥳 Was lovely to say hey to some of the cast after (which I never really do these days lol 🍋), and just want wish all involved a fabulous rest of the tour 💖 X x x

Hadn’t had so much fun in a very long time by myself. My heart dropped when I seen all the popcorn stocked so pretty. Today was an adventure on this beautiful off day of mine probably the best Sunday I’ve ever had #amc has changed my life for the better. I’m surrounded by future millionaires and billionaires. It’s crazy to me. We a whole happy family. Y’all make my day I enjoy the space calls the news y’all put out the commitment that we all do we bring everything together. NEW: Country star Morgan Wallen pleads guilty, will serve incarceration time after throwing a chair off a rooftop bar in Nashville, Tennessee in April. Wallen had his felony charges reduced to misdemeanors in a plea agreement with the DA office. Wallen was sentenced to seven days at a DUI Education Center and two years probation. "Earlier today (12/12/24), Morgan Wallen appeared in Davidson County Circuit Court with Judge Cynthia Chappell presiding where he entered a conditional plea pursuant to Tennessee’s Diversion Statute that does not result in a conviction," lawyer Worrick Robinson said to Fox News. I see there are still some Korean fans who haven’t gone to sleep yet. Isn’t it early morning over there? Ah, you’ve woken up. I came on live right after arriving because I figured today would be hectic, and I wanted to talk a little. Hi~ 💬 How is your day today? 🐿️ I’m in Nashville, Music City - one of my dream cities too. Since Nashville is totally a country music city, let’s turn that on. I’m not that tired. Dubstep. (laughs) I talked about it during the show too. Actually, at first, I didn’t plan to make a different intro set for each concert. (Someone knocks at his door.) Yes~~ At first, that wasn’t the plan. Oh? Wait, it didn’t work. Hold on a second. (He goes to open the door.) I had something to take care of. Okay, done. Anyway, yes. So, I didn’t intend to do a different intro set each time, but during the Seoul concert I made two. Originally, I planned to use just those for the Seoul show, so I made three in total. I thought of rotating them a bit, but after trying two of them, I wasn’t satisfied with one, so I kept making more. That’s how I ended up with three. Then I adjusted them for Atlanta, and when I went to New York, I felt like the one I’d prepared might not spread as well in a stadium, so I created a new one just for stadiums. Since it was completely different, the vibe felt different between stadiums and arenas. Then before going to Baltimore, I looked into it a bit and found out Baltimore has its own famous genre called Baltimore Club or Clubhouse. I also learned that Jersey Club kind of evolved from Baltimore Clubhouse. I really love that kind of historical music background, so while studying it, I thought, “Should I try Baltimore Clubhouse?” I think I had that thought in Atlanta. Then after the New York show ended - after send-off - a fan told me they wanted to hear dubstep in Baltimore. Honestly, it’s not that I can’t do it. Since I’m constantly making new sets anyway, I figured I could definitely pull it off. So I thought I might as well try, and I created a set that starts with Baltimore Clubhouse and transitions into dubstep. It was fun. Now that we’re in Nashville, I thought that maybe today or tomorrow, if I get bored, I might come up with some intro that fits Nashville too. But I’m not sure yet. Sometimes I bring back things that got a good reaction before, but for now, I’m making intros that reflect the unique vibe of each city, and that process itself has been a really great experience for me. It’s fun, too. So that’s where I’m at now. It’s not necessarily difficult, but as the number of sets increases, it becomes a bit limiting. Some of you may have noticed, but each member has their own solo song, and I perform a solo song too. During my solo stage, all the sound bypasses the usual PA system and comes directly from my own DJ setup. So if there’s any mistake or issue with my DJ gear, the sound just cuts out completely. It’s a pretty bold risk to take. Since I have full control over the stage in Part 3 of the concert, I was really worried at first. When I talked to the Pro Tools engineer, Eden hyung, and the audio team, there was talk about whether to do hand-sync or not. I said, “If I have to hand-sync, I’d rather not do it.” I didn’t want to do that. Even if there was risk, I wanted to do it properly, because this concert isn’t just about me. They found a way to make it work, and now the concert setup is safe - as long as I don’t mess up. There are no technical issues; it’s just on me to execute correctly. Because there’s no hand-sync at all, sometimes the timing may be a little off. Still, one of my mottos as a singer is: “If I’m going to do it, I’m going to do it right.” So I want to do it properly.

kim seonho shares about the actions scenes during "the childe": "there were about 30 action stunt teams as my opponents. so there were around 20 people I had to shoot with a 🔫, and about 10 people I had to stab. the filming ran longer than expected it got delayed for few days. as a result, some of the stuntmens contracts had already expired, so during the last 3 days, i'd be fighting people i'd already 'k*lled' earlier. i'd think, 'wait, didn't I just k*ll this person?' and then there they were fighting me again. so we were filming, doing the action scenes and all, and then while we were doing another action scene, i was like, 'hyung, didn't you just d!e earlier?' and that hyung was like, 'i don't know. the director told me to hurry up and d!e one more time. hurry, hurry, hurry! k*ll me off quickly!' so that's how we finished the action sequence but for the stuntmen whose faces had already been filmed earlier, they were placed a little farther away so it wouldn't be too obvious." i just love how he's telling this story in a fun comedic way 🤣 credit video to ate Jennette McCurdy 🫶

A Statement Regarding the Cancellation of My Nashville Book Launch: On Sunday, July 26, Bell Bird Books communicated it no longer felt it could continue promoting either me or my upcoming Nashville book launch for White. Blonde. Jew. Two days later on July 28th, the bookstore informed my literary agent that it was canceling my book launch. On July 29th, less than 24 hours after canceling the Aug. 20 event, Bell Bird Books provided statements to The Tennessean expressing support for the event, even though it had already canceled it. I was never contacted by the Tennessean for comment. On Thursday, July 30, Bell Bird Books removed the event announcement from Instagram, deleting all public mention of my book launch without issuing any public statement that the event had been canceled. Rather than informing readers and ticket holders, Bell Bird Books deleted the post. As a proud Jewish author who values free speech and who strongly believes in the power of words to change hearts and minds - and as someone who has always supported independent booksellers - I’m saddened and deeply disappointed at the state of affairs that led to my cancellation. This entire episode raises important questions about whether our society truly values the First Amendment, freedom of speech, and the ability of authors to express controversial or unpopular views without being cancelled for them. There is no crime in being proudly Jewish. There’s nothing wrong with condemning antisemitism and extremism. These topics shouldn’t be controversial - they should be openly and freely discussed. When bookstores cancel authors under pressure from activists, they are silencing speech and making a mockery of the First Amendment. Worse, they are rejecting the American tradition of giving writers the freedom to discuss and defend their opinions in the public square. Jewish authors should have the freedom to participate in the marketplace of ideas without organized pressure campaigns seeking to silence us, and institutions and businesses should have the courage to stand up to public pressure. My book, ‘White. Blonde. Jew.’ is a call to reject extremism, defend intellectual freedom, and reclaim the center at a time when intimidation is increasing and meaningful conversation is abandoned. My book delivers an important message for our increasingly divisive times. No business that pretends to give a voice to all points of view should kowtow to the bigots who would silence an author because of her religion or her strongly held beliefs. A new Nashville venue - and, if necessary, a new date - will be announced shortly. All ticket holders will receive refunds, and I look forward to gathering with those who lead with curiosity and who believe ideas should be met with discussion. I remain committed to this conversation, and it is far from over.

Last Monday, on the 18th of May, at around 6am, one of our own became a victim of the very thing we are trying to raise awareness about. She was violently carjacked by machete-wielding African youth in Victoria. Bat Hasbara had stopped at the laundromat in Keysborough to dry her work jacket on the way to work. She was waiting out the front in her car when she was confronted by an aggressive African man who opened her car door and aggressively attempted to drag her out. She fought back and tried to push and kick him away while he threw several punches at her face and body. Another African man then approached the altercation armed with a machete. Although she put up a fight, they managed to violently drag her out and took off in her car, which contained all of her belongings-her phone, credit cards, identification, and keys to her home. Thankfully, onlookers heard the noise and ran over to help her. There were no serious injuries, but due to their aggressive and violent nature, she is quite badly bruised and scratched up. She has had to change the locks on her house and, thankfully, already had a security and camera system installed. She is understandably still shaken up but wanted her story shared to help raise awareness. Police reports were filed and her car has now been located. The car wasn’t smashed or set on fire-it was just dumped after they’d had their fun. Her phone and credit cards were also located and had been thrown away, which goes to show these weren’t poor struggling immigrants who attacked for monetary gain. This was African machete violence and theft committed by two men aged between 16 and 20. Why? Because they can and they know they get away with it due to a weak court system. This was an opportunistic, violent, and aggressive crime committed by foreigners who prove time and time again that they do not belong here, nor do they deserve a chance at a better life in our country. We have become so desensitised to these attacks constantly happening, especially in Victoria. We speak about them in our spaces, make posts about them, and see them on the news. But when it happens to you or someone you know, it’s a scary reminder of just how real this problem actually is. We need to get louder. We need to make more noise, because the reality is that any one of us could be next. The only thing that will fix this is removing those who do not belong. We need instant deportations of criminal immigrants and the remigration of foreigners. We deserve to feel safe in our own country. New episode of Long Strange Trip with benahorowitz.eth of a16z is now live. The first time I pitched Ben for HubSpot, he passed on us. It stung. So naturally, it’s the first thing I brought up with him in this convo. He’s seen more founders up close over the last 20 years than most, so I wanted to ask him what separates good founders from great ones, what CEOs get wrong the most, and how they can fix it. He even names the best CEO he currently works with… Even at our Series D, when Ben passed, deep down I felt like I had no idea what I was doing. Turns out, that’s pretty common. The dangerous response is to start over-deferring to others to compensate, which is exactly when things go sideways. Here’s what else I got from this conversation: • On ‘Founder Mode’ going too far: The original insight from Brian Chesky is right: don't over-hire senior people and then over-defer to them. That creates fiefdoms and a political vacuum. But Ben thinks people have twisted it into "don't hire experienced people at all," which is dangerous. Founder mode means staying accountable to outcomes and having the confidence to manage people with more experience than you. • Decision debt: Ben calls decision debt "the worst debt" a company can carry because it paralyzes the entire organization. Founders who hesitate at 52/48 decisions, waiting for certainty that never comes, create a vacuum that breeds politics and dysfunction. The pile of decisions you're avoiding? A bad hire you are still trying to make work? A board member dynamic that's off and has been for awhile? A pricing model you know isn't scaling? I had this at HubSpot. Every 4-5 months I'd look up and realize everything had slowed down, and the only fix was to make a bunch of decisions I'd been dodging. The moment I made them, things started flowing again. • “Constructive confrontation”: Running away from the truth to spare feelings is dangerous. One of my bugs as CEO of HubSpot was that I’m pretty conflict averse. I think a lot of first-time founder CEOs are. But bad news has to travel fast inside fast growing companies, it’s a good thing if it reaches the CEO efficiently. And that only happens if people are willing to say the hard thing, and you’re willing to hear it. I probably should have leaned into that earlier. • Why founder-engineers suck at hiring salespeople: This is where most technical founders get wrecked. Engineers and salespeople are wired opposite: Ask an engineer a question, they try to find the correct answer. Ask a good salesperson the same question, their first instinct is: Why are you asking me that? If you're an engineer interviewing a sales candidate, their answers are going to feel evasive and it's going to annoy you: that's exactly why you'll reject the best ones and hire the worst ones. • His fix? Blind references. Call people who owe you a favor, not people who owe the candidate one. And ask who they can bring with them. Great sales leaders have a crew of followers. • What the best CEOs actually have in common: The greats can be introverts or extroverts, ivy-leaguers or dropouts. None of that stuff matters. The through-line he sees across Zuckerberg, Musk, Jensen Huang, Ali Ghodsi: they think for themselves (you can feel when someone's working from original thought vs. reading the room), they stay deeply curious, and they are blunt. Around 45 players showed up, packed the venue, and brought incredible energy from start to finish. The atmosphere was intense, the crowd stayed locked in, and every round felt bigger than the last. Our reigning champion NATURAL walked in looking ready to defend the title. But challenger OMIL, who signed up online and showed up ready to fight, ended up taking the crown in person. With multiple lead changes throughout the match, the outcome stayed uncertain until the very end. We also kicked things off with a pre-match prediction contest, which had everyone fully invested from round one. And the best part? Even after the official tournament ended, players kept playing. Nobody wanted to leave. Special shoutout to Akbar Rais for taking on the Frontline Breakthrough challenge mode. Let’s just say the results were... humbling 😅 Turns out controlling a zombie apocalypse takes a very different skill set than drifting a 600hp car at 180 km/h.
