I just don't understand the want for wanting to buy in an HOA, to pay for a home and property to have some tell me what I can and can't do with it. Why because you have security people? Who cares you think if something big went down they would stay and take care of you? Hahaha.... You have a gated entry? You can put your own in without having an HOA....

I genuinely just don’t understand why anyone would move into a neighborhood controlled by an HOA. The internet is full of these horror stories and yet HOA haven’t been eliminated.

I mean, homeowners in HOA neighborhoods PAY HOA fees, so essentially, they pay people to tell them what they can and cannot do. That's kind of sick.
