I’d LOVE a good remake of tactics ❤️

Funny to see this cause I posted about it the other day! I really enjoyed the game and if you ever have the chance the multiplayer goes super deep. A proper league with some proper home rules would be a top tier.

I never played it. I just finished replaying fallout 1 (better than I remembered) and I’m now starting on replaying fallout 2 (loved it, the best of the series). Is it good?

Yup 😎

those were the days... internet bust just happened... NO social media yet... forums and cool internet buzzing... great games you owned forever... man... we lost so much to gain... to gain... hrm... to gain.................................

I had three major issues with that game: Your characters only gained enough experience to cover the combat essentials, and no extra experience for developing unique traits / quirks. The maps that required you to exit a maze the same way you arrived (e.g. retrieving the stolen Power Armour) were pointless time wasters. Not enough vehicle mission maps. Those Super Mutants and robots would shred any character in an APC.

I really need to try this one again. I tried playing it after binging FO1 & 2, but the change in gameplay was too jarring. Not that I don't like turn-based squad games, but it is very different from the original games.

Loved this one. Wish it was longer and the merchants had proper restock.

Fallout Tactics got too much hate during the time of it's release. One of my favorites!

there is a tiny mod that lets you create other species for singleplayer, i enjoyed playing a Deathclaw :)

It was better as Fallou one and two. Played 100s of Hours! Ohhhh! You please free Nanuk? Daisy not nice to Nanuk's "little tribal." She do bad things. Things that hurt. Nanuk now have bad rash that smell. Please free Nanuk. I need to see medicine man soon.

I played it a while while back it was actually my first fallout game...idk aroumd maybe 2010? Not very memorable if i played it now It'll be like playing it for the first time

It was "at least something" after there was no Fallout 2 follow up for ages, but it was disappointing because quite linear. And there was not much added to the engine to make it really "tactics".

FUN fact Devs had no clue about fallout world so there was HUNDREDS of files unused in the game among them ghouls with miniguns and other heavy weapons

There is a full remake mod out there. It’s a pretty good playthrough, although you cannot tweak the game out and become a god anymore.

Still gotta give this bad boy a playthrough

It’s too bad it’s not lore. But could you imagine? Could you imagine seeing red foreman showing up in the fallout tv series, as a general that turns cyborg. That plot line would be nuts!

It was okay, but 1 & 2 are still the GOAT!

I remember those days. A friend gave me 3 discs at school (there was a game on 3 discs)... That was about five hundred years ago. Now the remake could look like Baldur's Gate 3. Turn-based tactical battles in the world of Fallout, but Bethesda can't do that.

careful what you wish for.

i play it alot...very good game,

In game is Minsc with his cosmic hamster. My team died because of one critical hand grenade throw. Still last mission was horrible for me because absurdal amount of criticals i got in head of all teammembers.

My guilty pleasure game and second after fallout 2 in my fallout ranking :D AND kill me BEST PA design of them all

Have you tried playing it with mods? I've recently replayed it with Redux/Equilibrium and was pleasantly surprised.

Not yet, thx for info 🫡

I love that game style. Looks like Commandos.

Setting up a multiplayer session was a true nightmare ... but once it worked, it was a ton of fun

Great game but the non-turn based mechanics are awful.

I don't think it need remaster. Just modern resolution and some little optimizations for modern systems. Played it few month ago and it still works just fine.

Unironically my favorite Fallout games. That engine was such tactical goodness. That and Jagged Alliance ate up so much of my time

This is the one fallout game i could never get into. (We dont talk about bos)

It was first Fallout which I finished. I loved active-pause mode.. it was so sweet after countless hours on UFO/TFTD/XCOMA... great game... maybe not Fallout-RPG itself as it was quite linear but gave great vibe of build world.

Last i played, i just had everyone loaded up with AK's and going full auto because ammo for it was ridiculously common and man its a gun that teaches so many bad things because its so good for the point in the game you get it

Nice to see tactics getting some love and attention🙌

My first online experience... get kicked our from the party as it was a special one with ww1 only weapons

So good. Tim Cain never talks about it. This game but modern with real time with pause and AI companions would be amazing.
