These kindergarten students have just completed their school year. Over the past year, they still attended classes under Israeli bombardment, and their parents sent them to school unsure whether they would return home.. But none of this has stopped a people determined to protect its children’s future and preserve what Gaza has always been known for: one of the lowest illiteracy rates in the world.

People in Gaza woke up this morning to heavy rain drowning their tents and the streets. Everyone is running around trying to collect some sand and rocks to keep the tents from flying. Most tents are leaking causing people’s blankets and few belongings to get soaked. Staying dry is a luxury for a few in Gaza right now. Our team has been working hard since the early morning to secure the tents in Refaat Alareer camp and another group went out with 50 tarps to set them up on the street near the beach. These tents are not a part of any camp and barely get any support. Donate to the South campaign, so we can help more people:
