Ji, There should be some lessons learnt from this incident which could have turned into a disaster. Rather than stopping the train the old school way by placing Woden logs on the track, a system should be developed to control the Engine remotely and to engage the brakes to halt the train. When tickets can be booked online why can’t an online system be created where the Railways can directly take the controls in their hands when things go wrong.

Indian railways are not for beginners😹😹 A train with a driver goes off-track often…and a train without a driver travels nicely and safely for almost close to 90km🫡

There is a system already existent called the dead hand brake system where they need to keep pushing a handle and if not done train slows down and stops Rajdhani has it(prevents the driver from falling asleep or it stops the train if driver falls asleep)
