This is exactly why the Criminal Alien Gang Member Removal Act exists. MS-13 members convicted of murder and rape - like those who stabbed Virginia guards - shouldn’t be in our prisons. They should’ve been deported immediately after their first violent offense. The bill’s Section 2(c) makes gang affiliation grounds for deportation, yet weak enforcement allowed these terrorists to infiltrate. Five Salvadoran MS-13 attackers entered illegally under failed policies, proving we need mandatory detention provisions from Section 236(c)(1). No more catch-and-release. Secure borders save lives.
