"We were thinking about you as the lead." "Well that could be interesting!"

Too bad the Star Trek universe is dead. Loved it for decades. The best season finale, for any series, was Picard taken by the Borg... "Fire"... (wait 3 months!)

🤣🤣🤣🤣

Voyager would have been better if they had made Neelix mute.

The guy that played Neelix has likely been reeducated since then.

I think somebody from today decided that this was actually a good idea thinking that this was not an experiment or a comedy skit, but actual genuine real something or another.

I mean this as the utmost compliment... The internet autists will never be defeated.

“Dude… The Millennium Falcon - is never going to be the same.” This is probably the funniest part of the bit. 😂 And accurately predicted the people running the writing rooms, producing and directing formerly glorious and celebrated franchises - who have 💯 zero knowledge of, or understanding the canon and facts of what they are destroying. Nor do they care. By design.

replace Neelix Robert Picardo: "That is the worst idea, just horrib... You want me in it? Well I think you are really on to something."

That's amazing. Its why its hard to do parodies now.

@RedBloodedGuy Adam Carolla on the All In podcast said that white women have ruined the writing rooms. Now it makes sense.

Neelix knows whats up!

That's amazing.

The millennium falcom is definitely not the same

Neelix will always be the Snarf of the Star Trek franchise to me. He's such a lame character. 😅

Neelix was pretty based until he saw the possibility of a payday. Explains why some of the older actors they brought back shovel nuTrek garbage.

I'm old enough to remember when a Starfleet Academy series was a joke. Right around the time Michael Dorn wanted his own Worf series. I regret laughing at Michael Dorn. Anyway...

I think this is exactly how it went down, only with Bob Picardo in the Ethan Philips seat.

"The Millennium Falcolm..." I actually do remember this. I also remember scoffing at the notion that Rick Berman was "like a god" to Trek fans at that time.

I didn't even recognize Ethan Phillips aka Neelix, dammit I need to be a better Trekkie! (for the old stuff!)

Oh if I could only retweet this multiple times to multiple people outside my followers list!

Starfleet Academy has literally been a pitch and considered since the 80s, when it was going to possibly reboot the franchise with Kirk Spock and McCoy.

I remember this and kept pointing it out as the promos were coming out lol

I want to hear from every person at that table today.

Forget about that starbage!

One of these feminist twit writers must have heard that in the womb, and here we are.

@JamieKennedy How the hell was this show so funny!? I missed it the first time around and every clip I see on X is killer. 😭😂
Holy crap they took a JOKE and made it a reality. Star Trek is so cooked, I just need it to go away for abut a decade at this point and rethink everything about itself

It seemed the only one that liked those insane ideas was the woman? 🤔

The idea that this show was partly stolen from a Jamie Kennedy X gag and also very likely AI-written is immensely satisfying

This deep into the aughts I’m surprised to see no seashell necklaces or frosted tips. Also relieved.

I laughed so hard...then I got sad...really sad...I am going to practise my knot tying now.
