A hidden trick most people don’t know. Here’s how to make it right

Why do Americans use so much butter in their recipes? It's not good for you and it's not necessary either

Careful - you add too much of that herb it might actually taste flavoursome!...

U added too much seasonings babes

Needs more butter

Idk man the butter seems a little less for my liking

learned this when I worked in an upscale restaurant

The amount of seasoning on this chicken is so concerning to me like are you guys allergic to flavour or sth?

I love butter. But if I have to add that much butter to make chicken taste good then I’m not making chicken.

45 minutes to cook a full chicken through……no chance

I tried this today (with a very small amount of butter on each cocktail stick as I am in the UK 🤣) for the first time and it was actually very successful. I put par boiled potatoes, carrots, celery, leeks and garlic cloves under the chicken which was on a rack and the roasted veg were amazing.

That’s completely pointless, the skin works as a protective layer, the butter will melt away in the first few minutes, instead, divide the skin from the flesh using fingers and tuck it with butter

I do something similar with Turkeys. Add salt, pepper, rosemary, thyme, sage, garlic, sugar, in oil with liquid smoke, and a very little bit of white wine vinegar, life up the skin, then rub under the skin. Works for me

instead of adding oil to those potatoes, you can coat them in bacon grease and some coarse salt, and it fries the skins on them while they bake

Okay but 45 minutes for a whole chicken?? My oven is laughing at me already 😂 Gonna try it anyway tho

Gastaste dos barras de mantequilla y tu pollo terminó todo secote 🫵🥴

But the butter runs off the chicken to fast

Raw chicken juices basting vegetables? Salmonella, anyone?

It could do with a bit more butter. I use whole packs rather than cubes.

Does anyone know how much fat comes of the chicken skin when it's in the oven? The chicken will stay moist. No, were gonna take a whole pack of butter, all drips in the potatoes and carrot with the fat of the chicken skin😱

Just a bit of olive oil instead of all this butter and it’s far better.

Guess what, you can make a delicious, juicy, crispy skinned whole chicken without covering it in a pound of butter. If you need to do that, you don’t know how to make a roast chicken.

Amazing work 👌

Is this not a lot of butter?

Sorry, but when you realise the abuse those chickens go through in their short lives it kind of puts me off.

@hauptdamn !!!

Facts 😭🔥 It’s always the simplest trick that changes everything. Crazy how we go years doing it wrong until someone finally shows the right way 💀

45 Minutes, optimistic

@grok it works?

45 mins for a chicken is going to be dry as fuck

Chicken is tender already. Just cook it till it's well cooked.

I'm all ears! My kitchen skills could definitely use a plot twist.

Rub with plenty of olive oil. Put everything in a tray with two glasses of water. Thank me later.
