Forming an all-Ireland league is in the interests of all Irish football fans.

I personally don’t think it’s a reality check in comparing the two leagues. For me, we are a small country and our league should be part time, that’s the reality check.

I'm not sure it says we must restrict ourselves to part time. Ambitions can lead to full time more professional football. Crowds need to improve, that's financially the main thing holding it back from happening.

Well said..IMO an All Ireland league is the way forward.The standard would be much much better and some huge games week in and out. Plenty potential in both leagues Sham Rovers way and beyond the most consistent team over the years in 32 counties.

A combined league would benefit all teams on the island and, with the exception of the old firm, be on a level with Scotland within a number of years. That brings in TV deals and higher incomes. Would need to go with our summer season, though.

Very fair take. I expected a Rovers win, but never expected it to be that easy. Larne appeared levels below on the night.

Larne is a good team but probably the Eirtricity League has the advantage but forget about that instead what a competition we would have if we had an AI league Surly this has to be considered
