A hungry bear was spotted breaking into a jelly bean machine in eastern Tennessee.

That was your immediate thought because it’s a black bear. Sad. How do you know he’s not trying to fix the machine or refill it?

The black bear in Gatlinburg had an ear tag from prior wildlife handling and was caught on camera over the weekend going after the jelly bean dispenser.

A jelly bean machine outdoors in bear country is clearly an attractive nuisance, rendering the property owner at fault. The bear is held harmless in this case. 🐻

That bear has zero chill and excellent taste. Sitting in the rain, methodically working the Jelly Belly machine in Gatlinburg like it’s a full-time job. Ear tag says this isn’t its first rodeo with wildlife officials… and clearly the snack craving won.
