We’re teaching kids history wrong. History should be a story–an exciting, meaningful account of our past that we can learn from. Not memorizing dates and last names and titles of wars. Here’s how to fix history classes:

The elaborate headdress, jewelry, and clothing are characteristic of Palmyrene aristocratic women, who were often of Aramaean descent, though they could also have Arab ancestry due to intermingling with local Arab tribes.
