Police snatched the poor truck driver’s phone first, then beat him and left him b|६६d!ng. Even if we assume the driver was at fault, who gave police the right to assault him like this ? Their job is to issue a challan and follow legal procedure, not to raise their hands. Law enforcement is not about showing power over a helpless person. The police are meant to protect ordinary citizens, but in India it feels like they serve the powerful, politicians, and criminals instead.

The abducted girl went to see Rath Yatra with her sister. Islamists abducted both the girl and her sister. Later, her sister was recovered. So far, the Police arrested one Islamist. Other accused Islamists are absconding. The Police also couldn't find another girl named Liza Jana. Demanded the fast recovery of the abducted girl, local Hindus along with the family members, blocked a road in #Ramnagar.
