Chris Brown has arrived in South Africa for his two-day concert taking place at the FNB stadium at the weekend. But not everyone is a fan. An advocacy orgaisation Women For Change and some political parties have called for the singer to be barred from the country due to his history of abuse and a gender-based-violence conviction. The organisation has submitted its petition to the home affairs and sport, arts and culture departments as well as to Big Concerts, calling for cancellation of the concert. This is getting too much, Senator Monday Okpebholo Moses Joel Yamu Edo State Police Command we need to do something about this as soon as possible. The ministry of public safety and security is no longer functional, the governor has refused to appoint a commissioner for the ministry, this is the ministry that controls the command and control center and our emergency call numbers, that ministry is very important so the governor should please pay attention to that ministry. In the absence of the commissioner the permanent secretary of that ministry needs to be active, it’s getting out of hand. We need help in Edo state, Senator Monday Okpebholo wake up and stay active your excellency.

On this first day in office as Romanian foreign minister, I find it poignant to celebrate the UN International Day of Women in Diplomacy. I am looking forward to work with all my colleagues in the ministry at headquarters and abroad as well as with our international partners. I am thrilled many among them are women. Being a woman and a diplomat is not a special privilege, it is a reflection of the world. It is also an achievement for many women that bring their contribution and vision in a field that is both difficult and demanding. I am pleased to say that Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Romania 🇷🇴 is a champion in the field. At our embassies and consulates as well as at our headquarters hundreds of women diplomats are part of the team and this is also reflected at leadership level. Moved by their achievements and much looking forward to encourage women in diplomacy!

Agriculture is a key priority in my administration because, as a nation, we must be able to feed ourselves—and Edo State will lead the way. This is why we are making significant investments in agriculture, not just to ensure food security but also to drive economic growth. From day one, I made it clear that we must restore dignity to our streets and communities. This is why we’ve invested in modern waste management equipment such as; payloaders, tippers, compactors and more to equip our agencies for the task ahead. But equipment alone is not enough. That is why I have reintroduced the monthly environmental sanitation exercise — every last Saturday of the month from 7:00am to 10:00am — as a collective effort to clean our surroundings, restore order, and safeguard public health. This is more than a policy; it is a movement. A clean Edo is a healthy Edo, a safe Edo, and an attractive Edo for investors.
