Do you even have kids moron? Sit down and ask the kid nicely to do something and see how that works out for you.

1st. the only time i got sent to bed without dinner was because i was super picky. one night isn't abuse. 2nd, the "door off the hinges" thing would come after a severe breach of trust brought on by the child. 3rd, spanking isn't abuse, it's last-resort discipline and it works.

My aunt had a similar aproach to her kids and jesus they were such annoying brats, thankfully they've mellowed down a little but also she did end up getting divorced, maybe it's the right thing to do but be prepared to be extremely stressed every day.
