Witnessed an ice shove at Sailimu Lake: newly frozen plates, shattered and driven ashore by wind, stacking like a slow-motion sculpture. Sunlight makes them ring like wind chimes.

These 'Beach Animals' were created by Theo Jansen as a fusion of art and engineering. The kinetic structures walk on their own and get all their energy from the wind.
