They explained that despite the decrease in prices of certain goods, their vehicle owners have not reduced the daily sales targets they are expected to meet. As a result, lowering fares negatively impacts their earnings. Additionally, some drivers pointed out that the cost of spare parts remain high, making it difficult for them to operate affordably. Abba said they boarded a vehicle from Gusau to Sokoto at the official New Gusau Motor Park. He was traveling together with other victims, Maryam and Yasmeen.
