This man from the PREMIER STORE on the Grange Estate in Grimsby has just donated 36 personal safety devices after seeing my appeal to help women and shop workers feel safer walking through town 💙 just popped in after patrolling the town this morning to pick them up 20 of these alarms are going straight out to a girls football team after a parent contacted me late last night with safety issues in the area these children practice 💔 police need to listen to their concerns and do a lot more I have another 20 for all female staff at a fast food restaurant and still need to supply another newsagents in the town If you would like to purchase a pkt of personal safety devices for me to give out on your behalf to workers and women in my area the Amazon wishlist appeal link is 👇🏻 thank you so much for your support. 🤡 Putin wants more women Russia is running out of women — according to Vladimir Putin himself: “According to statistics, there used to be ten girls for every nine boys. But now, I think the numbers have flipped — we don’t have enough women anymore.” A rather ridiculous claim, given that women have outnumbered men in Russia for many years. And with ongoing mobilization and war, now is hardly the time to complain about a “shortage of women.” If anyone’s missing, it’s the men Putin keeps sending to die in Ukraine by the thousands. Looks like Putin has trouble not only with geography — but with basic math too.

Only around 14% of menopausal women in the UK currently are prescribed HRT, which would be fine if only 14% of women wanted to take HRT but we know this isn’t the case. I constantly hear from so many women who aren’t being given a choice and are unable to have their HRT prescribed for them both in the UK and other countries. This is not right when we know HRT is safe and beneficial for the majority of menopausal women and the guidelines are clear it is a first line treatment to manage menopausal symptoms for most women. In areas of deprivation this number is much lower - in some areas only 2% of menopausal women are prescribed HRT and these women are more likely to be prescribed antidepressants, statins and blood pressure lowering treatments. Also they are more likely to have chronic diseases such as heart disease, type 2 diabetes, clinical depression and osteoporosis - taking HRT can reduce the incidence of these diseases as well as improving symptoms. A lot of the work I do is about giving women the confidence to be better advocates for themselves and I hope by keeping this conversation going we can help more women access the care and treatment they want and deserve.
