I love how he realizes this glory we get to participate in at mass.

I wish more Catholics understood this because their lives would be changed and their faith supercharged.

How beautiful when someone gets it; especially after many of these people have been fed falsehoods about Catholicism for most of their lives.

Same thing

There's no better feeling than leaving mass first thing in the morning. After the eucharist and having a clear day.

And you can go every day! Plus adoration!

He gets it more than most Catholics....

I have never felt closer to Christ than when I went to a Catholic Church! Love love love it!!!

My breakthrough came when I started listening to actual Catholics and going to Mass and learning directly. Alas, like Icarus, I came too close. And fell prey to Rome. It’s so beautiful! I’m so happily Catholic!

It's blasphemy. So, no, average Christians don't respond like that nor do protestants. There is no priesthood in Christianity to do a sacrifice of the mass. There is no such thing as ordering God to come down and cosplay as food items. It's just not a thing. Christianity doesn't revolve around eating Jesus for salvation.. that's done through confessing who he is. And the Lord's supper was a meal originally that included actual bread and actual wine. It's been reduced to a farce. And the Catholic cult has turned it into blasphemy.

The "connection" between heaven and Earth is Christ our Lord through the Holy Spirit. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus;" 1 Timothy 2:5 "But the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, he will teach you all things and bring to your remembrance all that I have said to you." 2 Corinthians 13:14

Wait till he hears about the Latin mass The beauty and reverence to Our Lord 😇

Yet no scripture I know supports this. It’s tradition, not biblical

No scripture? You must be joking. 2 Thessalonians 2:15. Start there.

That’s scripture doesn’t have a date listed 🤷🏻♀️

Neither does your Bible. Yet here we are.

Traditions can be problematic. Jesus’ outright disregard of that manmade tradition sets up a clear distinction between what is binding (God’s commands) & what is not binding (human tradition). I believe traditions should be backed up by scripture, absolute truth

The problem is you’re treating all tradition as “manmade.” Scripture itself does not. Paul commands Christians to “stand firm and hold to the traditions” they were taught, whether by word of mouth or by letter (2 Thessalonians 2:15). So the real question is not, “Tradition or Scripture?” It is: human tradition or apostolic tradition? The early Church knew the difference.

So if a tradition doesn’t hold up to scripture or is in opposition of scripture, that’s ok?

No. If a tradition truly contradicts the Word of God, reject it. But Paul explicitly commands Christians to hold to apostolic traditions received orally or in writing (2 Thess. 2:15). So now we’re getting somewhere: Which Catholic apostolic tradition do you believe contradicts Scripture?

@CauseofourJoy I love his realization of what Catholic Mass really is. Jesus come down from Heaven 🙏😇❤️

Yes. It is like the Ark of the Covenant. The real presence of God, not just in the Temple of Jerusalem. But in every chapel, every small church, every town where the Mass is celebrated. It happens every day. It is not a mere symbol.

If I don't attend Mass every morning, I am out of sorts for the day and life starts unraveling. It is fairly astounding. I was confirmed 2 1/2 years ago at age 75.

Come home, brother!

You can have it NOW, and guess what? You can go to Holy Mass EVERYDAY!!! Start today, you will never regret it.

I was raised catholic educated Catholic you never know what you have until you hear a conversation like this.

Wait till he hears about the Eucharist

Come in dude. You gonna love it more

This is exactly what converted me. The reverence and meaning cannot be compared. My Godfather has a simple line, with depth that I am reminded of daily; "It is so rich" When we contemplate every word of every prayer/gospel/hymn. 2000 years of rich devotion is plain to embrace ✝️

The Catholic faith is beautiful. We believe Jesus is holding up the Eucharist with the priest during the transubstantiation . The priest has to use only certain fingers to hold up. There exist visionaries who have been shown the heavens opening up during Hosanna

Amen, brother!! That’s why I converted to the Catholic Church this year at the age of 70. My Priest said, “Welcome home” to me at my confirmation. It truly was transformative.

Amen - a beautiful summation of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. One sacrifice for all eternity.

God bless you Colby. Please keep pursuing this - there is so much beauty, profound mystery and a whole new depth of worship waiting for you.

Yes we receive the body of Christ when receiving communion during each mass it’s very humble knowing we are in the presence of the lord 🙏✝️🫶🏻

It’s why I love the Communion of Saints.

Welcome home brother. We knew we’d see you eventually. Peace to you and now let’s kick some ass. The Son of Man is real.

@FiatLuxGenesis You can; sign up for OCIA. You will receive Jesus by Easter!

Amen.
