A lifetime Leaf 💙 Remembering Ron Ellis

I was always Ron Ellis in street hockey. Growing up in Boston , while everyone wanted to be Orr , Esposito, Bucyk etc.. not me. Rest easy #6. Thanks for my childhood.

A wonderful tribute to an outstanding retired member of the Maple Leafs, some of Ron needs to wear off on some of the current Leafs, what a difference that would make.

His name should be in the rafters beside Ace’s.

Respect. Let’s celebrate the life of a proud Maple Leaf legend. I’m glad that his name is forever etched onto the Stanley Cup.

Ron Ellis was a wonderful man, but when I see pictures of him during his days playing, he looked a little like SNL legend Taran Killam because of his face & bright eyes. Other than that, he was a great Leaf.

I went to a Leafs practice once when I was about 11 yrs old. Ron spotted me enjoying the pratice and gave me his stick. I was on cloud nine, such a simple gesture made a young fan very happy for the longest time. RIP 🖤Ron and thank you for the great memories.

I remember, Ron Ellis, he was short, stocky, very powerful, built like Tie Domi, and he had a wicked slap shot that unfortunately went high and wide most of the time.
