lol BJJ had very little to do with this interaction. Guy kept his distance until his backup arrived and only then did he engage. He knew he had help so from there it’s a simple matter of pinning him on the ground so you can get handcuffs on him. I trained Brazilian JJ, he didn’t even use a BJJ takedown.

@tomdeblass1 One of our newer white belts recently asked me (salty, 3-year blue belt), "When do I start to see progress?". I answered, "Wait a couple months until the new wave of students starts.". It doesn't take long indeed.
