I think maybe the last 2 were in 3 sets. We played in the final of Auckland a couple of years back. We played also at US Open. We both know each others game. A voice agent powered by gpt-oss. Running locally on my macBook. Demo recorded in a Waymo with WiFi turned off. I'm still on my space game voice AI kick, obviously. Code link below. For conversational voice AI, you want to set the gpt-oss reasoning behavior to "low". (The default is "medium".) Notes on how to do that and a jinja template you can use are in the repo. The LLM in the demo video is the big, 120B version of gpt-oss. You can use the smaller, 20B model for this, of course. But OpenAI really did a cool thing here designing the 120B model to run in "just" 80GB of VRAM. And the llama.cpp mlx inference is fast: ~250ms TTFT. Running a big model on-device feels like a time warp into the future of AI.

Imagine an immersive version of Look Around where you can actually walk through cities and explore places from every angle, in 3D. I tried it with some of my favorite places, and it genuinely feels like being there again. It’s wild that this works from just a single image.

We put a camera here over a year ago, unsure if it would be a good spot. Always lots of trial and error with cameras when trying to find good spots where wolves like to travel. But, it was a beautiful setting in some conifers along a small creek and we figured wolves would likely would travel through this more open terrain along the creek. Turns out, this was a pretty good spot. And it wasn’t just wolves that used this scenic stretch of forest as you can see. In total, we have captured more than 1,500 videos of wildlife on this camera in the past year or so (8.3 hours of footage). Most videos are of snowshoe hares and deer but wolves (the Half-Moon Pack) cruise through the area periodically as do most of the other forest predators. This 3 minute video is just a highlight reel of some of the most interesting footage. Big thanks to the Minnesota Environment and Natural Resource Trust Fund for their continued support of our work. That support allows us to share this footage and our findings with millions of people each year!

AMAZING NEWS for Geophysics reseachers!!!!! I got a wild idea, and decided to give it a try! Grok build was able to reverse engineer and build a NEW version of the old school Japanese NICT Magnetosphere / Magnetopause model which shows the Earths current magnetic environment in space! The old NICT site was shut down due to "lack of funding" after the great Japan megaquake in 2011, the service ran for a little while after the quake and then went away for good. I was able to get the old site in the wayback machine internet archive, give a link to Grok, with a little direction on where to look for the data they were using, and next then you know Grok has made a full 3D version that pulls data real time ! Now we have a basic working 3D version of the magnetopause , and soon will be coming the animations showing the data over time (we will be able to hit play and watch it bounce around !) This is next level. For real, I'm geeking out!!!!!!

Unfortunately, the beginning of the keynote is a little messed up. My slides weren't formatted correctly and there are tons of shots of the faces of the crowd which I do not support. I've done my best to blur the crowd in these edited clips. I believe the conference is working on a version of its own that addresses these issues. The most important piece that got cut from the intro of my keynote was my tribute to We are all Gigi. I consider Gigi a genius. This presentation is an extension of his work. A unique & special pub world existed around the old stadium which we discuss in the video. The new stadium offers little joy in comparison with the old and highlights both the importance of pubs and football and how they're so indebted to each other. The wonderful The Griffin Pub - Brentford welcomed us & allowed us to film in their stunning public house. Myths of Brume is the first TCG built entirely with pixel art cards (even the text is rendered within a 140×196 pixel grid). The upcoming collection features 300 original cards, each one hand-crafted pixel by pixel over the past two years. In this playtest version, the artwork is partially redacted — I don’t want spoilers before the full release. But the core experience is already in place. You can jump in, test the gameplay, build decks, and start shaping your own strategies. If you run into anything along the way, such as bugs, glitches, or unexpected behavior, you can report it using the in-game Bug Report button. Your feedback is a key part of this phase.
