@ellohhlo This is the first explanation I've ever seen explaining what people who suffer from it experience. Thank you for the courage to inform me and others.

My God, this is pretty frightening... I can't imagine living with this. 🙏🏾 prayers to Kody and all who suffer. Also, thanks to Kody and you for sharing, it's quite educational.

I used to have a schizophrenic neighbor; I couldn't call him a friend exactly, but we chatted often. He understood he had the all of the hallucinations and HATED it. One day he stood on the railroad tracks that ran right by my home. He faced away as the train came.

My wife and I take care of her mom who has has schizoaffective disorder. I showed her mom this and she said it’s pretty accurate, but you can’t fully understand from just the audio. For her, she almost feels the voices. They basically replace her inner monologue.

I had auditory hallucinations for a short time triggered by prescription meds (gabapentin) - they were the absolute most frightening thing I have ever experienced. My heart goes out to anyone having to deal with them long term/24-7.

My sister suffered from schizophrenia for over 25 years. The voices became real prominent the last 12 yrs or so to the points they controlled her thoughts which then she stopped taking care of herself. Her health deteriorated to the point where she died in Nov 2022. 😭

As a psychology major this sounds a lot like what my professor played for us in college. I would also add that everyone should read letters those with schizophrenia write. A lot of word soup and it’s like a visual way of seeing what they hear.

The game ‘Hell Blade: Senua’s Sacrifice’ worked with Schizophrenic specialists to make the main characters condition more realistic. I would recommend looking up the behind the scenes making of the game.
