Qullamaggie on Lose Little or Breakeven Until the Next Bull Run “Right now the market is screaming at our faces don’t buy stocks. And if you’re gonna buy them, you gotta be super selective. And even then you’re probably gonna get slammed most of the time. And this is where the edge is, this is how you trade with an edge. The bull market geniuses are probably frantically trying to find new stocks to buy on or holding the high flyers they bought recently that are now down fifty seventy percent from highs. They’re trading with no edge. If you, or if you stay in the game during these periods, if you can stay break even or lose only very little, or maybe even make money if you’re also short, you know wait for the next bull run, you’re gonna have an intact account, you’re gonna have an intact psyche, and next bull run you’re gonna double triple quadruple your money again in a short amount of time. Rinse and repeat that’s what trading is all about, identifying these cycles.”

There is a right way to play this game and a wrong way and this is 100% in the wrong. I don’t care that the batter moved back out of the box- you don’t intentionally step back to throw at her head, as hard as you can, from about a foot away. I don’t want to hear “you don’t know it wasn’t intentional.” Save it. The runner at 3rd is about a half step off 3rd. The way the catcher is positioned to throw, that throw is going towards the 3rd base fence. The most telling part though? No one checks on that batter and catcher gets a high five right after from her coach. The batter ended up with a concussion. This is completely unacceptable and has no place in this sport.

Qinwen Zheng on if she’s learned anything new about herself since coming through qualifying at the U.S. Open, ‘I say to myself, the reality is you’re #125 in the world. You’re not the top 10 you were before. Don’t treat yourself so high. You start from the ground’ “I learned a lot about myself, about tennis, about life, about everything. For me learning a match is not just about tennis. It’s more about something with yourself. Also when you’re winning a match, exactly what you did right to win this match… I’d say right now the most important challenge for me is to keep humble, be there, and fight. Like, okay, I came through qualies this time. I say to myself, the reality is you’re just #125 in the world. You’re not the top 10 you were before. Don’t treat yourself so high. You’re here as everyone else. You start from the ground. So stay there, keep fighting.” (via US Open Press)

Amen Thompson got ejected from the Bucks game after he was called for a flagrant 2 on Giannis. When asked about that play post-game, Giannis wasn’t tripping: “People just play hard. At the end of the day you don’t want to play in a league that’s soft. No hard feelings.”

Kara Lawson when asked about Caitlin Clark’s shooting: “I didn’t even know that…. I just want their shot quality to be high. I think Caitlin's done a solid job in this tournament taking the right shots at the right times.” “She provides a great playmaking aspect to her game on our team. We rely on her, at the point guard position when she’s in to run the team. We saw that in the first game when she had 11 assists and 0 Turnovers.”

Lamar Jackson on Tyler Loop: "I talked to him during the game because I was kind of livid at him when he kicked the ball out of bounds. But I told him 'you know I'm just hyped based on emotions of the game right now.' I felt like it was gonna come down to him winning the game for us at the end. Just how the game was going. He's a rookie. It's all good. Just leave it in the past, man." via Baltimore Ravens

Asked Joe Mazzulla about the things he felt the Celtics could control in Game 2 and he named three: “You look at the end of the first quarter run, you look at the middle of the second quarter run, and you look at the 6-8 tendency things that we gave up on certain players.”

Blake Griffin on the Clippers: "This organization's been through a lot. You can build a new arena, you can be at games, you can cheer on the team, you're gonna have all this high energy but at the end of the day an organization is built on a foundation of respect and it's built on how you treat people and I don't think that in this situation Chris was treated right. I'm sorta at a loss for words a little bit"

🚨WHAT ON EARTH?!!! A "teen" brawl broke out at halftime at a Georgia HIGH SCHOOL football game... and when deputies moved in to break it up, they found a HANDGUN. This happened at East Coweta High School's stadium in Coweta County, Georgia, during the East Coweta vs. Newnan game. At halftime, a fight broke out behind the home stands, right near the concession stands where families and little kids buy their popcorn and hot dogs. The Sheriff's Office says the fight was between three young men, ages 16, 17, and 18. WHERE ARE THE PARENTS?????
