A little look at the HM replacement: Pokemon Abilities. Abilities unlock throughout your gameplay and are either tied to the Pokemon's type or some species have exclusive abilities. There are multiple ways to interact with multiple objects in the overworld.

Would it be possible to use Gen 5 Black & White‑style 2.5D character sprites with fully 3D overworld environments?

The engine is actually fully 2D. There is no 3D environment going on. I'm doing some shader and model baking trickery to achieve that 2.5D look.

expectation

I implore you to look at monster sanctuary approch to HM ! That would be incredible for a pokemon game.

Is this a whole rom hack? If yes, what’s the name

what game is this?

I liked HMs only in that it often forced you to go back and revisit dungeons or routes later. RPGs do this all the time. So when Pokemon BDSP removed HMs it cut any sense of logic regarding a blocked path and the hidden reward. You could do it all the second you got the badge. What you have is definitely more interesting. Especially if you reward players who bring an uncommon combination of 2 or 3 abilities with them to an area.

Your pfp vaguely looks like Naoya Zenin

Now that you mention it, it does 😂 While I like the character, not the inspiration behind it. The sprite is of a custom trainer I made back in 2015. And the next season of JJK can’t come soon enough.

Muy interesante la forma de usar las habilidades de cada pokémon.

These are the kinda pkmn games that should continue! Not the legends ZA slop and sword and shield was really bad too.

voll krass mrk

Needs first and free cam 3rd person

WHAT IS THIS?? it looks so good already….

What game??

Ah

This is what i wish they did after they removed HM's XD

Wow and wow again. Never even thought about something like this. These fangame creators continue to amaze day by day

Are you into crypto bro?

Another damn decomp

Wut?

I like how this Pokémon fangame looks graphically. It looks like an NDS game. I'm tired of how most of them all look the same because they always rely on RMXP and have that flat map with no depth. What engine do you use? Unity, Godot, or GameMaker?

RMXP 😂👌🏻
