A little short I made about Norm.

Speaking of juxtapositions, it's actually really fun seeing Disney style animation applied to something like Sam Kinison snorting coke. Great stuff!

6 minutes of pure kino. The fact that the transition from the cartoon Norm to the real-life Norm imprints the striking similarity of the two despite not being in the same position just shows how well you captured him.

This is incredible. If you and the boys @psychicpebble and @MichaelRCusack could, I think making a multi-part movie that animates Norm's book Based on a True Story (which he recorded as an audiobook too) would be an amazing celebration of Norm's life and comedy. I've literally dreamed of it; it was the line "I look around the room, and see the small bottles that are scattered everywhere, those small bottles that make me feel so big" and it's a combination of little booze bottles, but among them is a bottle of pills, and there's a very quick flash of reality, of Norm taking medication for treating cancer before it returned to the fantasy of Norm's hotel room, the pill bottle no longer there, replaced with another random 50ml booze bottle. I had this dream shortly after hearing Norm had passed, and I hadn't listened to that audiobook for at least 2 years. When I woke up, I listened to the opening again and it gave me chills, and it made me feel like crying. It made me wonder if that was Norm's intent; to encode some of his real feelings within his absurd but hilarious [fake] autobiography. I've listened to it many times since that dream, and try and imagine it as an animation, and it makes me smile.

@BlueEightySix I won a contest where I wrote a punchline for Norm that he used on his show. He delivered it exactly the way I saw it in my head when I wrote it. He was one of a kind.

If you made 100 of these, I would watch them all. I’ve never heard such a perfection summation of Norm’s comedy than the summation he gave of Kennison’s advice. Tragically beautiful in the way life is.

God this is such a beautiful piece of work. Every nanosecond is gorgeous, and I absolutely adore how you know exactly when conversational acting needs to be subtle vs exaggerated. Just all-around brilliant work
