There are thousands crossing the channel every week and although @GBNEWS can find the gangs but you seem to be unable to. These lorry smugglers look like easy targets.

NCA officers have arrested three people as part of a coordinated operation with French police against a people smuggling organised crime group. The group were involved in transporting Vietnamese migrants to the UK in lorries and small boats. NCA officers apprehended a 25-year-old woman at an address in Wrexham and a 25-year-old man in Newcastle-upon-Tyne this morning. French Police arrested a further 16 people in and around Paris in simultaneous raids, supported by colleagues from Europol, Eurojust and Belgian federal police. The woman arrested today is suspected of assisting that group by laundering money, while the man is believed to have organised facilitation through lower members of the crime group. These arrests are a great example of partnership working with our colleagues in France to tackle the groups behind dangerous crossings to the UK. Tackling people smuggling remains a top priority for the NCA, and this is one of approximately 100 ongoing investigations targeting groups or individuals both directly involved in organising journeys, or those who facilitate that criminality. In Calais we speak to some of the thousands of migrants hoping to cross on small boats from northern France into the UK - risking their lives in the process. More than 20,000 people have crossed the Channel in small boats so far this year. The Government has promised to tackle the smuggling gangs behind the dangerous journeys. France and the UK are jointly funding police operations along the French coast and both countries are considering a "one in, one out" deal and allowing French officers to venture further from the shoreline to stop boats from leaving. That may be revealed when President Macron visits London next week.
