You must truly think we are fools? This is a GIANT GIFT to the oil and coal companies, which back some of the most corrupt politicians in Congress. Same companies who tripled their profits by price gouging us, worsening the Global Inflation with their greed. The GOP's main permitting proposal would rewrite one of the nation's bedrock environmental laws so that federal regulators act more quickly in analyzing projects' impacts on the environment. Nothing the GOP does, NOT ONE THING, benefits the working class or the younger generation. Can you name one thing? JUST ONE will do, Kevin!

Let’s be clear: I’m all for permitting reform and modernizing our infrastructure. But—here’s what I’m not for—gutting environmental laws and the rights of our communities on the frontlines. And that is why NEPA exists—to make sure there’s a backstop to protect our lands, waters, air, sacred and important places and ensure our communities have a voice in the process. And that is what I’m fighting for!

That’s why I'm proposing: - A 5% Program Spending Review - Tax Reform (simpler, lower) - A Permitting and Competition Reform Commission - Rapid Industrial Permitting Zones - Reducing Subsidies (>30%) - Public Procurement Reform A more competitive Ontario means higher wages, more opportunity, and greater prosperity. Let’s get Ontario growing again.

As my first executive order following inauguration, I am asking state agencies to further streamline permitting and empower Utahns to build a future of abundance. I think about the days when my family’s company laid fiber optic lines to places like Scofield and Beaver Mountain. Back then, permitting was fast and collaboration was the norm. We can do it again. It shouldn’t take years to get approval for a project that benefits our communities and strengthens our economy. Read more here:

He outlined four clear steps: 1) Lower construction costs – Cut regulatory red tape, streamline access to raw materials, and reform NEPA to make building homes easier. 2) Stop forcing “green” mandates – Green requirements inflate construction and purchase prices. 3) Overhaul permitting – Permitting delays drive costs through the roof. 4) Build dense, entry-level housing – Focus on affordable, accessible homes for first-time buyers. "We have to build a lot of homes in our country. The solution is not rent control. That's the Democrat playbook. It doesn't work. Only leads to higher prices for everyone. When you have people saying no more growth, no more contruction, you are actually driving up prices for young people trying to get in the game."

They’re opening a coffee shop in Otaru, Japan and estimate startup costs around $30,000. They compared it to opening one in Carlsbad, California, where it would cost closer to $500,000. Modern America has become unbelievably expensive to build anything in. Maybe not apples-to-apples, but the point stands: opening a small cafe in Japan can be a $30k scrappy project, while doing the same thing in coastal California can easily turn into a six-figure permitting, buildout, rent, etc
