I remember watching this Redbone performance on The Midnight Special late one Friday night in the mid-'70s. Back then, we were so colorblind I didn’t even realize they were Native Americans — they were just great musicians and cathy tune. It feels like today there’s so much more focus on race than there used to be.

Same here, and some of the best bands from back in the day had all kinds of ethnicities in them, no one cared about that as people do nowadays, it was about the music
