@Modern_Railways Great work, but perhaps begs the question why we would think it would take 3 years to complete and lessons to learn for future - long closure yes - but quicker outcome and if planned presumably lot more cost effective...?

Interesting to know the outturn cost.. in my experience emergency projects can be cheaper because everyone's engaged and the project is driven than if this has a been a planned capital maintenance project

Very impressive. Shows how good coordination of a massive project can deliver in record times. Well done Network Rail. Maybe some lessons learnt (meant positively) for future projects.

It shows how with dedication and resources these infrastructure items can be done quickly and well.
