Ok the mukhda in this was originally composed by Hemant Kumar for the movie Anand Math & sung by Lata Mangeshkar, who's sung this relatively recent modified Hindi version as well. Tbh, the HemantDa version is really catchy & propulsive, albeit musically tougher to sing.

The Naga Students' Federation (NSF) organised a mass public rally in Kohima on March 16 to protest against what it described as the imposition of the song ‘Vande Mataram' during official functions and in educational institutions. Hundreds of students and members of the public gathered in the state capital to express their concern over the issue. The federation stated that making the song mandatory in official events and schools goes against the rights and sentiments of the Naga people. During the rally, participants carried placards and raised slogans while calling for respect for cultural and political sensitivities in the region. NSF leaders also addressed the gathering and urged authorities to reconsider the directive. The federation maintained that any policy affecting the people of Nagaland should respect the state's unique history, identity, and constitutional provisions. She is the same woman under whom the Communal Violence Bill, was drafted by the National Advisory Council led by Sonia Gandhi during the UPA-II government around 2011–2013. The draft defined the "victim" group in a riot exclusively as religious or linguistic minorities and the majority community (Hindus) was by default the perpetrator and minorities were inherently the victims in any communal clash without any investigation. The bill was later shelved due to fierce opposition by the BJP. Otherwise today 80% of the majority community would be in jail. Never Forget, Never Forgive

The argument that Parliament must first pass a law before such protocols become binding on government functions is flawed. Every aspect of governance does not require a separate Act of Parliament. The Union Government routinely issues executive directions, protocols, and administrative instructions governing official ceremonies, state functions, national symbols, and public administration. These flow from the executive authority of the Union under the Constitution. A State government cannot simply declare a Union protocol governing national observances “optional” because it disagrees with it politically. If every State began selectively deciding which national protocols it would or would not follow, the very idea of uniform national observances would collapse. Vande Mataram is not a partisan slogan. It is India’s National Song and a foundational symbol of the freedom movement. Treating its prescribed rendition at official functions as a matter of political convenience says more about the insecurities of those objecting to it than about the directive itself.

Children's Day Celebration In Edo State Reportedly Ends In Chaos. The updates I’m receiving is that during the Children’s Day event today in Edo State, over 50 children collapsed and were rushed to the central hospital. It is clear that the state government failed to provide proper arrangements for the event, and tear gas was reportedly fired by the government house police, causing many children to be affected. As we speak, they are in serious condition at the hospital. This is a clear failure of INEC Governor Monday Okpebholo
